The same passionate people who started Serenity Hospice Care founded Serenity Foundation in 2007, when they realized the financial hardships surrounding patients and loved ones. Serenity believes that nearing the end of life, the very last thing a patient or loved one should be concerned about is how to pay for quality care.
Here at Serenity Hospice Care, we do not turn away any patient, regardless of whether they can pay or not.
While Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies pay for a large part of hospice, there is still a lot that is not covered under these insurances. Serenity Foundation grants patients and their families assistance with expenses not covered under the hospice benefit.
Additionally, we go a step further. If a family or patient has a wish request, we do our best to accomplish these requests. In the past, we have paid utility bills, bought necessary items such as groceries, medical scooters, weighted utensils, wheel chair ramps for the home, and more.
The wish request can be in the form of an event as well. In the past, we have taken loved ones fishing to provide an escape and be a listening ear. We have taken patients to meet celebrities just to put a smile on their face. Whatever your wish is, let the team at Serenity know and we will do our best to make your wishes come true.
We understand that hospice is a gift and we are more than glad to give it. This care provides education and resources to families, caregivers, and patients so we can help ease your burden.
“We founded the Serenity Foundation to help our patients and families by providing financial grants for basic needs Serenity Wish requests.” – Serenity Hospice Care Founders
