Chad Hutcheson, RN

Owner, CEO

Chad Hutcheson founded Serenity in 2006. Chad received his Associates Degree in Nursing from Middle Georgia College in 1994. Since then, he has worked in all areas of patient care including intensive care, trauma, and acute care. Chad is on the board of Serenity Foundation and W.I.N.G.S. (Women In Need of God’s Shelter). He also is a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Chad loves spending time with his family – his wife Julie, their five daughters, and two grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, golfing, and hunting. Also, he is a member of the local chamber of commerce and part of civic organizations such as the rotary club.

Dr. Robert Shuman

Corporate Medical Director

Dr. Robert Shuman joined Serenity Hospice Care when they opened in 2006. Dr. Shuman graduated from the Johns Hopkins Medical School in 1974, receiving the Upjohn award as the top graduate. Dr. Shuman practiced at Dublin Internal Medicine from 1977 to 2010.

He was the Co-founding Chairman of WINGS, United Way (Dublin-Laurens County), and Habitat for Humanity. He was and remains the founding medical director for the Joy Free Medical Clinic, providing health care to working people without insurance. He and his wife Susan enjoy spending time with their four children and three grandchildren.

Kim Wildes, RN, CHPN

Chief Operating Officer

Kim Wildes joined the Serenity team in 2007. She has been a registered nurse since 1998 and has worked in various settings including intensive care, medical/surgical, and  ambulatory surgery prior to joining the hospice field. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University.

Kim is a member of Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse (CHPN). When Kim is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, traveling, and being outdoors. She and her husband Bryan have two sons, Karson and Reese.

Julie Hutcheson

VP of Marketing

Julie Hutcheson is the Vice President of Marketing where she assists in strategy development, plans and implements marketing and business development activities along with overseeing the Community Relations Team . Julie is also the Executive Director for the Serenity Foundation. In her role, she is able to impact the lives of many of our patients by overseeing planned events, managing our thrift shop the Hope Chest, and project leader of Serenity Memorial Garden. She is a native of Brunswick, Georgia with 20 years’ experience in Ophthalmology.

In addition to serving others, Julie loves painting, teaching art within the community, and has helped transform memory care units in the Dublin area. She and her husband, Chad, have five daughters and two grandchildren, who they enjoy spending time with. Julie is a member of the board of directors for the Serenity Foundation and W.I.N.G.S. (Women In Need of God’s Shelter). She also is a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Chase Hutcheson

Finance Director

Chase Hutcheson is a native of the Dublin area and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Middle Georgia State University in 2018. Since then he has been a part of the Serenity Hospice team. As the Finance Director he works closely with team members to develop financial strategies to continue business growth.

Chase loves to play golf and spend time with family and friends. He also enjoys investing time into his local church and other volunteer activities. Chase is also a Serenity Hospice board member and finance director for Serenity Foundation.

Ashlee Vickers

Foundation Director

Ashlee Vickers is a Certified Biblical Counselor, Certified Professional Coach, Addiction and Recovery Specialist, and Crisis Response Specialist, as well as a results-oriented business leader. She attended the University of Alabama where she studied English and Pre-Law. She has a Master Diploma from Light University in Biblical Counseling and is an accredited member of the America Association of Christian Counselors. She brings with her over thirty years of proven success assembling, coaching and mentoring teams to obtain top-level revenue objectives and project targets. She is an exceptional communicator and motivator skilled in project management.

Ashlee is a native of Dunwoody, Georgia, however, she says she has been in Dublin long enough to call it home. She and her husband, Gerald, share their home with their loveable rotten rottweiler, Rayne, and her sidekick, the rowdy rescue pup, Brenly. They have four adult children spread from Tennessee to Texas, with a grandbaby boy due in June. They are members of Liberty Baptist Church and avid Georgia Bulldog fans.
